Easter weekend is a wonderful time to see the Winterthur Garden: the daffodils are coming on strong, magnolias are glorious, the cherries are puffy pink clouds and new paths are mown in the meadows ready for a spring hike.
My favorite cherry floats near Magnolia Bend. It has a strong dark branch almost parallel to the ground; under it sits an inviting bench for an afternoon intermission.
Inside tip: new shipments of plants arrive at the plant shop every Thursday ready for your weekend garden improvements. This week you’ll find plants from A-V: Achillea-Mertensia-Violets. Come and pick out spring treats for your garden!
