Congratulations to a 6-year-old friend of the Winterthur Garden who received a “First Place” award from the PTA Council of Baltimore County in the Visual Art, Primary Division with this entry in the “Wow” theme.
The work is entitled “Dancing with the flowers in the Enchanted Woods.” The work is tempra on canvas. The artist’s statement: “I thought of this because of my trip with Mimi to the Enchanted Woods in Delaware. It is “Wow” because of the beautiful flowers in the Enchanted Woods and it makes me happy and excited.”

The Winterthur gardens actually inspired me to start a garden of my own this summer! It turned out great! I received lot’s of fresh vegetables to provide for our family and help us to eat more healthy meals!
