Rosemary Krill shares her observations of Friday, March 5th:
The Winterthur Garden, like many of the Winterthur staff, is ready to welcome visitors back after our winter break, based on what I saw today. I started out to take a peek at the March Bank. I didn’t even make it to the Bank before I saw the stunning view for today. . . it was the East Terrace outside the door to Port Royal Hall, covered with pale purple crocuses, Thomasiniana, I think. (Crocus tomasinianus. kls) And as a background, the yellow jasmine in bloom.
Many areas of the garden are still snow-covered, nice warm blankets for these wonderful bulbs.
