Join us this weekend for a beautiful March Bank in flower and an opportunity to learn about and buy snowdrops! We call our event ‘Bank to Bend’ because the du Pont family used to walk the path from the March Bank to Magnolia Bend this time of year looking for the first flowers in the garden.

Celebrate the early bulb display of the March Bank at Winterthur with a lecture, tour, and sales of rare and unusual plants. This year’s featured speaker is Lady Elwes who will share the story of how a garden of private obsession grew into one of international importance. Her talk “Snowdrops at Colesbourne, Gloucestershire” will take us from triumph to disaster and back again. It is a tale of snowdrops, the people, the passions and the real stars….the flowers. In the afternoon there will be a sale of snowdrops and other rare and unusual plants as well as tours of the March Bank. $10 members, $20 non-members, free for Winterthur Garden and Landscape Society and Garden Associate Members.
